Projects

Curious as to the projects I am doing in my free time? I tend to work on a lot of various projects, but the downside is that I frequently let less interesting projects die off as more interesting things come along. I’ll try to categorize my projects for you, and point you the ones that are still alive

Active

  • Dungeon Crawler: A modern take on the venerable roguelike genre. This is a graphical, top down turn based dungeon crawling game that is heavily inspired by Angband and Dungeons and Dragons
  • Sandbox: My large repository of code. It contains a growing reusable library backed by unit tests, snippets other code and various other bit and pieces
  • Brainfreeze: You’ll swear that eating slurping down slurpees is less painful than trying to write actual programs with this language. This is a fast optimizing interpreter for the brainf*ck language.
  • librot13: No, not a library of rot! This is a library and command line tool to do state of the art rot13 encryption. Uses secret black magic to achieve unheard of speed-ups.

Dead

  • CubeWorld: My attempt at emulating Minecraft.
  • Asset Tool: Command line utility script to help convert and process game assets
  • Raycaster: A simple raycaster in C++

I still have a ton of random code and dead projects lying around on my various computers. I’ll try to track them all down, and see if I can’t do something clever with them – like combine them into a uber-repository to end all repositories.
